Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

This site is a public lookup service，requires no registration and does not actively collect your name, phone number or email。The system may automatically record the following technical data：

• Browsing and device information (pages, referrer, browser, operating system) — via Google Analytics (GA4, tag G-FJR34T14RN).
• Site security and service-quality logs — when you browse this site’s HTML pages, the system recordsFull IP、irreversible source hash, visit time, page path、seconds on page，along with the country, region, region code and city estimated by Cloudflare, to measure traffic, detect abnormal use and keep the service secure. Time-on-page is reported by the browser when you leave the page; clicks and mouse behavior are not recorded. These logs are accessible only to the administrator and are automatically deleted after at most 30 days.
• Location data——Only when you actively press Use my location，does the browser request location permission (its purpose is explained next to the button beforehand); the coordinates are used only in real time to show nearby kindergartens on the map，not stored and not written to any records。On page load, only a rough city-level location is estimated from the connecting IP (no permission prompt, nothing stored). Declining location access does not affect any lookup features.
• Cookie and similar technologies — for traffic analytics and advertising，enabled only after you give consent；Without consent, Cookies and personalization are disabled through Google Consent Mode (see section 4 below).
• Data correction / appeal form — when you choose to fill it in, Data correction request we collect the name, email, phone (optional) and case details you fill in, plus any supporting images you upload，used only for verifying, contacting, takedown decisions and auditing of that case；A case summary is sent via Resend to this site’s handling inbox [email protected] and the designated admin notification inbox. Images are kept in private storage and never made public. To prevent abuse, an irreversible hash of the connecting IP (not the plain IP) is also kept.
• On-the-way drop-off calculator — the home and office coordinates you enter into the calculator，used only for that one commute-time calculation and returned immediately: not stored, not written to server logs or any cache, and not saved in your browser’s storage（kept only in memory until the page is closed).
• Enrollment season email reminder subscription — when you actively use theenrollment calendar pagesubscribe to reminders, we collect the Email and your selected county，used only to send public-kindergarten enrollment season reminder emails（about 3 emails a year: before the admission notice and before stage 1 and stage 2 registration). We usea double opt-in process：Your subscription takes effect only after you click the link in the confirmation email; unconfirmed data is never used for reminders. Every email includes an unsubscribe link，after unsubscribing, your Email is deleted from our database immediately。Reminder emails are sent via Resend, contain no ads or third-party marketing, and subscription data is never cross-referenced or used for any other purpose.

In addition, this site displays person-in-charge and penalty information from government public data (including legally public personal data); see Section 3 below.

2. Third-Party Services and Ads

This site uses the following third-party services, whose own privacy policies govern their data handling：

• Google Analytics：Site traffic analytics.Google Privacy Policy
• Google AdSense：This site may show ads served by Google. Google and its partners use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can visit Google Ads Settings opt out of personalized ads, or visit aboutads.info to manage third-party advertising cookies.
• Google Maps Platform（Places API）：this sitemayWhen you open a single kindergarten’s detail view, its Google rating and up to 3 reviews are fetched and shown live (this feature may be suspended depending on third-party service status) and are never written to this site’s database or cache; each review is displayed with the author attribution and original link provided by Google. Google reviews play no part in this site’s search ranking or kindergarten comparison. Use of these features is also subject to Google Maps Platform terms of service、Google terms of service與 Google Privacy Policypolicies.
• Taipei City Department of Education enrollment system：Enrollment vacancy and lottery information shown on Taipei public/non-profit kindergarten detail pages comes from the Taipei City Department of Education public disclosure pages (kid.tp.edu.tw, npkid.tp.edu.tw) and is institution-level public information，involves none of your personal data。
• Resend：Sends data correction notifications and enrollment reminder subscription emails; it processes only the recipient Email and message content needed for sending.Resend Privacy Policy
• National Land Surveying and Mapping Center, Ministry of the Interior NLSC：map tiles.

Beyond the services listed above, this site uses no other analytics or tracking tools (such as Meta Pixel, Clarity or Sentry). Cloudflare, Google and Resend may process data outside Taiwan, which constitutes possible cross-border processing; this site uses them only as necessary to provide the service, maintain security, run analytics or send case notifications, with safeguards per each service’s terms and settings.

3. Personal Data Such as Persons in Charge and Penalty Records

The kindergarten information on this site includes a small amount of legally public personal data, mainly the kindergartenPerson-in-charge name，and, in penalty records, the legally publishablename of the person in charge or actor：

• Sources and Basis (explained separately for the two categories)：
  ①「The kindergarten person-in-charge name is a publicly registered field in the kindergarten basic data on the Ministry of Education national ECEC information network (public information of an institutional-registration nature).
  ②「Names of persons in charge or actors in penalty records: under the Early Childhood Education and Care Act, when an ECEC institution is penalized, the competent authority must publish the institution’s name and the name of the person in charge or actor — information that must be published by law.
• Publication period (applies to penalty names only)：Names in penalty records are public only during the Ministry of Education’s publication period (from the date of the disposition, ranging from 3 months to 6 years). This site follows the same official rules: only penalties still within the period are shown, and once it expires they are automatically hidden (no previously penalized marker is kept either).
• Disclosure scope and lookup features：Person-in-charge names appear on kindergarten detail pages, along with a person-in-charge lookup (including an aggregated view of kindergartens under the same person in charge), limited to the government-registered public fields above. To reduce the risk of names being indexed by search engines or mass-harvested by automation, this site takes these measures: lookup results and related API responses are marked noindex (excluded from search engines); names are never written into page source or URLs indexable by search engines or AI; lookups are rate-limited to prevent automated bulk scraping; and the aggregated view is keyed by name string (identical names may belong to different people — every page carries this notice).
• Purpose of use：provided solely so parents and the public can understand kindergartens’ public registration and compliance status — a reasonable, public-interest use; this site does not use it for marketing, resale or any other purpose.
• Data subject rights：Under the Personal Data Protection Act you may exercise your rights to access, view, supplement, correct, delete, and stop the collection, processing and use of your data. If you are a data subject and believe personal data shown on this site is wrong, past its publication period, or should be corrected or removed, please use Data correction request（personal-data cases are prioritized) or email [email protected]，We will verify and correct or remove it as soon as possible.

4. Cookie Consent and Management

This site manages consent status with Google Consent Mode v2. Before you press Accept all, analytics and ads always run in the denied state：no Google Analytics or AdSense Cookies are stored, and no personalized ads are served based on your browsing history。Choosing Essential only keeps this state, and you may still see non-personalized ads（no Cookies and not based on your personal data). Either choice leaves every search function unaffected. You can change it at any time via Cookie Settings in the page footer, and you can also block or delete Cookies in your browser settings.

5. Data Security and Retention

This site keeps no member database and does not store precise location coordinates, API keys or passwords. Visitor logs contain the full IP address, an irreversible hash, country, region, region code, city and seconds spent on the page. They are used only for traffic statistics and service security and are kept for at most 30 days. The admin console is protected by HttpOnly secure cookies, rate limiting on failed logins and Cloudflare secrets. The content, supporting images and audit records of a data correction case are kept for at most 3 years after the case closes, for dispute evidence and auditing, then deleted or anonymised. The email address and county of an enrollment alert subscription are kept until you unsubscribe, and are deleted on unsubscribing. The email address and followed schools of a school change alert are kept until you unsubscribe, and that subscription is deleted on unsubscribing.

6. Children’s Privacy

This site is a kindergarten public-information lookup aimed at parents and the general public; it does not collect data from children.
